As a Key Account Manager, you will be the key commercial point of contact for a number of our Key Accounts. The main responsibility of the role will be to maximise the pipeline of opportunities coming from our Key Accounts & bringing these deals to a successful close. The role will report into the Head of Growth who oversees overall sales efforts.


Build & manage the relationship with key client stakeholders in order to maximise the sales pipeline coming from them. This includes:

  • Ensuring they are fully up to speed with Datatonic’s capabilities & solution portfolio.
  • Holding regular roadmap planning sessions to understand their challenges & scoping out where Datatonic could support.
  • Being their key commercial point of contact (e.g. the go to person for new opportunities or issues)

Work with the Account teams at our Strategic Partners (Google Cloud, Looker, Intel) to maximise the sales pipeline from new stakeholders / new parts of the business. This includes:

  • Mapping the account to identify new stakeholders to proactively go after.
  • Organising workshops and lunch & learns to further embed & increase awareness of Datatonic.
  • Working with Datatonic’s marketing team to run account-based marketing campaigns.

Act as the Commercial Lead on all opportunities with Strategic Accounts. This includes:

  • Qualifying the opportunity.
  • Assembling the right technical team to scope out the opportunity.
  • Understanding who the key decision makers are & ensuring their buy-in.
  • Ultimately bringing opportunities to successful close.

Work with Datatonic’s Strategy & Engagement Teams to frame & communicate the business value from completed projects, with the goal of maximising follow-up work.


  • 4-8 years professional experience in a fast-paced environment (e.g. fast growth tech company)
  • Proven pedigree in helping a business deliver significant growth
  • A clear understanding of how large organisations make decisions & how to influence them
  • Ability to communicate and influence all levels of stakeholders across functions (especially tech, engineering, data science, sales, marketing and finance)
  • Understands what motivates people & tailors messaging accordingly
  • Initiative taker, eager to break new ground & create opportunities
  • A consultative ‘listen-first’ approach
  • Exceptional people skills, builds rapport easily
  • A fast learner with a demonstrated desire for continuous learning and improvement
  • Enjoys a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
