As a Junior Account Executive, you will support Key Account Managers in sourcing & qualifying new deals, and bringing qualified opportunities with specified accounts to successful close.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for someone who is ready to take the next step in their career and join a growing team of Account Managers, who are experts in selling cloud data & AI solutions. As a rapidly growing team, the role offers the potential for rapid progression to more senior account management positions.

Your core goals as Junior Account Executive:

  • Grow sales with specified accounts in-line with annual targets, leading commercial discussions with clients and partners.
  • Work with the Google Cloud Partner & Sales Teams to source and qualify new opportunities
  • Qualify new partner - & marketing-sourced opportunities

With responsibility to:

Act as the Commercial Lead on assigned opportunities. This includes:

  • Qualifying the opportunity.
  • Assembling the right technical team to scope out the opportunity.
  • Understanding who the key decision makers are & ensuring their buy-in.
  • Ultimately bringing opportunities to successful close

Develop strong relationships with the Google Cloud Partner & Sales Teams in order to source new opportunities. This includes:

  • Developing a regular cadence with Partner Sales Managers & key Sales Reps in your allocated vertical
  • Organising workshops and lunch & learns to further embed & increase awareness of Datatonic.


  • Min. 1.5 years professional experience in a fast-paced client facing environment.
  • A clear understanding of how large organisations make decisions & how to influence them, with a proven pedigree in helping a business deliver significant growth
  • You have a consultative ‘listen-first’ approach and understand what motivates people & tailor your messaging accordingly.
  • Initiative taker, eager to break new ground & create opportunities.
  • Exceptional people skills, builds rapport easily.
  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Experience of account managing enterprise level companies in industries such as TMT. Retail, CPG, Finance
  • A real passion for technology, ‘infectious’ in your enthusiasm for ML, AI, Big Data and Analytics topics!
