As an Industry Manager, you will have commercial responsibility for growing our revenue in one of our focus industries (either TMT, Retail or Finance)

(Please note that we are looking for candidates with a background in a consultative environment i.e. management consultancy/professional services)


+ Grow revenue with our existing accounts in the target industry (in-line with annual targets) by building & executing robust Account plans.

+ Win net new enterprise logos in the target industry through:

  • Working with Industry Leads at our Strategic Partners (Google Cloud, Looker, Intel) to identify leads at target accounts
  • Working with Datatonic’s marketing team to run industry focused marketing campaigns
  • Working with Datatonic’s Strategy & Engagement Teams to develop & pitch our industry value prop

+ Act as the Commercial Lead on all opportunities with accounts in the target industry. This includes:

  • Qualifying the opportunity.
  • Assembling the right team (technical & / or strategy) to scope & win the opportunity
  • Understanding who the key decision makers are & ensuring their buy-in.
  • Leading commercial negotiations
  • Ultimately bringing opportunities to successful close


  • Min. 4-8 years professional experience in a fast-paced client facing environment.
  • A clear understanding of how large organisations make decisions & how to influence them, with a proven pedigree in helping a business deliver significant growth
  • Ability to communicate and influence all levels of stakeholders across functions (especially tech, engineering, data science, sales, marketing and finance).
  • You have a consultative ‘listen-first’ approach and understand what motivates people & tailor your messaging accordingly.
  • Initiative taker, eager to break new ground & create opportunities.
  • Exceptional people skills, builds rapport easily.
  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
