At Datatonic, we provide businesses with cutting-edge data and AI solutions in the cloud.

We partner with Google Cloud to help clients take cloud technology to the limits. With Google Cloud Platform as our foundation, we help businesses future-proof their solutions, deepen their understanding of consumers, increase competitive advantage and unlock operational efficiencies.

Our team consists of experts in architecture, machine learning, data science, data engineering, business intelligence, and design. We all share a passion for data, believe in a pragmatic approach to solving hard problems, and believe that with the right team and technology, data has the power to transform any business.

We are looking for Analytics Engineers to work closely with our business intelligence and engineering teams to build new or migrate existing data warehouses, marts, and products on Google Cloud Platform.

You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end business intelligence solutions, with a primary focus on enterprise-wide data warehouse design, data models, and storage optimisation. Typically with DBT, snowflake/Bigquery and GCP.

We partner with Google Cloud to help clients take cloud technology to the limits. With Google Cloud Platform as our foundation, we help businesses future-proof their solutions, deepen their understanding of consumers, increase competitive advantage and unlock operational efficiencies.

As an analytics engineer you will work alongside:

  • BI Analysts: Responsible for designing, building and maintaining analytics solutions, with a primary focus on business unit-specific data marts, self-service data models, and building front-end analytical visualisations/reports (typically Looker), and training business users.
  • Architects: Responsible for designing the solution and data architectures. data architects design the end-to-end business intelligence solutions with a focus on designing the most optimal data model and architecture solution.
  • Data Engineers: Responsible for building applications which connect systems, collect data, process that data into a useful format. Often this data is ‘big’ and requires distributed frameworks to move and process. A data engineer is a key cog in a data platform as they look after the acquisition of data for analytics, and connecting the output of analytics to operational systems.

You will:

  • Build the foundation on top of which our analytics and data science teams will build innovative, impactful solutions with our clients;
  • Help our clients migrate existing business intelligence and data warehouse solutions to Google Cloud Platform;
  • Design and build brand new data warehouse & data mart solutions for our clients;
    • Transforming, testing, deploying, and documenting data
    • Understand data modelling techniques
    • Understand optimization and storage for warehouse technology
  • Work closely with our tech partners: Google Cloud Platform, Snowflake, dbt and Firebolt, in understanding their tech inside out and forming a network with their engineers
  • Work in an agile and dynamic environment together with our data engineers, BI analysts, data scientists, and machine learning experts.
  • Apply software engineering best practices to analytics; version control, testing and continuous integration.
