As a Strategic Account Director, you will be the key commercial point of contact for our Key TMT Accounts. The main responsibility of the role will be to maximise the pipeline of opportunities and bring these deals to a successful close.

(Please note that we are looking for candidates with a background in a consultative environment i.e. management consultancy/professional services)


Your core goals as Strategic Account Director:

  • Grow the key account revenue in-line with annual targets, leading commercial discussions with clients and partners.
  • Play a critical role in building relationships with key strategic accounts, ensuring client satisfaction throughout engagements, working with Datatonic's Strategy & Engagement teams to frame and communicate the business value from completed projects, with the goal of maximising follow-up work.


With responsibility to:

Build & manage the relationship with key client stakeholders in order to maximise the sales pipeline coming from them. This includes:

  • Ensuring they are fully up to speed with Datatonic’s capabilities & solution portfolio.
  • Holding regular roadmap planning sessions to understand their challenges & scoping out where Datatonic could support.
  • Being their key commercial point of contact (e.g. the go to person for new opportunities or issues)


Develop strong business relationships with the Account teams at our Strategic Partners (Google Cloud, Looker, Intel) to maximise the sales pipeline from new stakeholders / new parts of the business. This includes:

  • Mapping the account to identify new stakeholders to proactively go after.
  • Organising workshops and lunch & learns to further embed & increase awareness of Datatonic.
  • Working with Datatonic’s marketing team to run account-based marketing campaigns.


Act as the Commercial Lead on all opportunities with our Key TMT Accounts. This includes:

  • Qualifying the opportunity.
  • Assembling the right technical team to scope out the opportunity.
  • Understanding who the key decision makers are & ensuring their buy-in.
  • Ultimately bringing opportunities to successful close

Requirements

  • Min. 4-8 years professional experience in a fast-paced client facing environment.
  • A clear understanding of how large organisations make decisions & how to influence them, with a proven pedigree in helping a business deliver significant growth
  • Ability to communicate and influence all levels of stakeholders across functions (especially tech, engineering, data science, sales, marketing and finance).
  • You have a consultative ‘listen-first’ approach and understand what motivates people & tailor your messaging accordingly.
  • Initiative taker, eager to break new ground & create opportunities.
  • Exceptional people skills, builds rapport easily.
  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Experience of account managing enterprise level companies in industries such as TMT. Retail, CPG, Finance
