As Head of Delivery, you’ll have a remit to provide leadership for the successful delivery of company’s projects across AI, Analytics and engineering on Google Cloud, enabling our clients to meet real business needs with cutting-edge solutions. This position will suit someone with proven experience as an experienced project manager and team lead in a technical consulting environment who would like to use their skillset in a dynamic, technology-driven established start-up.


Your core goals as Head of Delivery:

  • Put in place a scalable delivery framework, and lead its company-wide adoption, collaborating closely with the CTO & CSO; to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
  • Lead our most valuable projects to joint success for the customer and Datatonic, interacting with C-level sponsors.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction across all projects by maintaining best-in-class project management and delivery standards.
  • Recruit and lead a team of Delivery Managers - responsible for coaching, mentoring, and training.


With responsibility to:

  • Cooperate with all areas of the business, clients, and partners to ensure effective communication and successful project delivery.
  • Facilitate initiatives to build trust and understanding with the technical teams and all internal stakeholders.
  • Work together with other ‘Heads of’ to manage team utilisation and planning for future projects.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify project blockers and find mutually agreeable solutions.
  • Create and maintain tooling and oversee company-wide adoption, enabling consistent and accurate project tracking and reporting across the business.

Requirements

  • Multiple years’ project management experience in an international environment, some of which within a Tier I/II management consultancy.
  • Previous experience with data and/or analytics projects.
  • Proven senior stakeholder management experience (client-side and internal).
  • Previous team leadership and line management experience.
  • Prior experience in driving the industry-standard framework implementation within an organisation (e.g. Agile / Scrum).
  • A natural communicator with an engaging and considerate approach.
  • A supportive, committed, and empathetic attitude in the performance of daily duties.
  • Desire to join a diverse, multinational team of ML & AI enthusiasts.

Bonus points for (but not essential!):

  • Prior experience in start-up / scale-up.
  • Multi-lingual (especially but not limited to German and French).
  • Experience in building a team of project managers and a delivery practice in a consultancy.
  • Agile Project Management, Prince2 or Scrum certification.
