We're looking for an experienced Business Development Team Lead to propel our commercial function, focused on demand generation and new business acquisition. You'll be growing and managing a team of Business Development Executives that cover Datatonic’s core markets, as well as leading by example in achieving your own individual performance targets.

Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of business development executives (in UK and remote), including overseeing weekly targets, coaching and mentoring
  • Establish and reporting of weekly targets of prospects, leads and opportunities to drive team success
  • Distill best practices and procedures on business development and lead development
  • Proactively suggest tactics, tools and processes to optimise output & efficiency
  • Lead by example in identifying prospects, nurturing inbound and outbound leads, and qualifying new business opportunities
  • Lead by example in managing the end-to-end sales cycle for select Corporate and Digital Native accounts
  • Build strong relationships with customers (across executive and technical roles)
  • Work closely and collaboratively with partnership & marketing teams, to devise joint sales campaigns with partners and demand generation campaigns
  • Work closely and collaboratively with account management, technical and strategy & engagement, to ensure monthly and quarterly pipeline goals are achieved

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role as a team lead of business development representatives, in a highly dynamic environment (cloud data, technology / SaaS, high-growth scale up)
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role as an individual contributor meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Ideal - Similar experience in selling cloud data + AI solutions
  • Ideal - Similar experience in building from scratch a business development team
  • A passion for managing, coaching and mentoring a team to success
  • Thrives in highly collaborative environments, building rapport with commercial, technical, marketing and partner teams
