Datatonic Academy is our new venture to train exceptional individuals in Data and AI, to help them turbo-charge their careers with Google Cloud.

With courses covering Machine Learning Engineering, Data Engineering, DevOps Engineering and BI Development, the Academy offers specialist training to help enterprise businesses achieve tangible impact with their Data and AI projects.

We are building a world-class team to create strong foundations for the business to grow. As a full-time Google Cloud Trainer you will deliver training sessions for students at different levels and across a number of subject areas and disciplines.

You will also work closely with the Academy founders to advise and support on content development for courses, bringing initiative and a constant awareness of recent developments in Cloud technology and related tools and frameworks. This includes liaising with other internal teams, e.g. Account Management, and coordinating upskilling course customisation to suit our clients’ specific needs.

If you are an experienced individual working in Google Cloud technology (Data/ML/DevOps Engineering, BI Development) looking to transition into a training role, we would love to meet you. If you enjoy explaining how things work and want to embrace teaching others about your area of expertise, then you will find training to be a very rewarding role.


Responsibilities

  • Creating training materials for students at multiple levels and across multiple subject areas
  • Delivering training sessions both virtually and in-person to groups of students
  • Providing one-on-one coaching and support to students in between sessions
  • Coordinating with other teams (especially Account Management) and clients to customise course content

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience working with Cloud in a relevant role (Google Cloud experience preferable)
  • Excellent understanding of machine learning and/or data engineering
  • Hold current Google certificates for relevant disciplines
  • A detailed awareness of modern cloud-native infrastructure principles
  • Experience deploying and optimising models to GCP
  • Thorough understanding of CI/CD principles
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills - written and verbal
  • A personable approach and adaptable communication style
  • Incredible attention to detail and a passion for presenting information in the most effective way
  • A logical, methodical but flexible mindset
  • Passion for Google Cloud technologies and Data+AI in general
  • Commitment to delivering value to students and clients
  • Experience creating training materials is desirable
