Description

At Datatonic, we are looking for Customer Engineers with experience on Google Cloud Platform to join a rapidly growing team building industry-leading, future-proof data, analytics, and AI solutions for our customers.

As a Customer Engineer at Datatonic, you will be the technical point of contact for our customers during the pre-sales journey. You will explain technical concepts and triage client’s technology challenges; run discovery conversations; help customers understand their future-state architecture; build demos; and enable delivery of solutions from proof of concept builds all the way to production implementation of world-class data solutions.

As a Customer Engineer at Datatonic, the main roles you will interact with are:

  • Growth team - you will work closely with our team of business development and account managers to develop new opportunities within new logos and existing accounts.
  • Partnership team - you will work closely with our partnership team to build relationships with key stakeholders at our partners.
  • Marketing and Strategy team - you will work closely with both teams to define our go-to-market strategies.
  • Technical teams - you will work closely with our technical delivery teams (across Architecture, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning Engineering, and DevOps) and will bring in the right SME at the right time to support technical pre-sales discussions, and understand our solution offering and service lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the technical aspects of the role including:

1. Qualifying new opportunities from a technical perspective
2. Understanding the customer’s business and technical requirements
3. Together with our technical SMEs, translating a customer’s technical requirements into a proposed solution
4. Be the go-to technical point of contact for our customers throughout the entire pre-sales process

  • Together with our Sales, Marketing, and Strategy teams, help define Datatonic’s GTM strategy.
  • Build relationships with the Technical Sales Teams at our Strategic Partners (i.e. Google Cloud, Snowflake, Intel, DoIT) in order to drive awareness & engagement with Datatonic’s services.
  • Together with our Technical teams, help define new service offerings and build customer-facing demonstrations and sale artifacts.
