As an established startup we are in an exciting new phase of our growth and we are in the process of scaling into new regions as well as significant growth within our UK operation. To help drive this growth, we are looking for a proven leader to join our CxO team as Managing Director UK.

This is a hands-on role in a dynamic, fast-growing environment, that will require the successful candidate to work closely with internal teams, partners, and clients. The role will suit a highly articulate leader with very strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure the successful long term growth of Datatonic.


Your core goals as Managing Director UK:

  • Grow the UK Consulting team whilst protecting Datatonic's core values, culture and DNA.
  • Grow the UK Consulting revenue in-line with annual targets, leading commercial discussions with key partners and clients.
  • Direct the go-to-market and strategy for launch of new business practices delivering world-class impact and innovation.
  • Maintain our status a #1 Data and AI Google Partner.


With responsibility to:

  • Establish best practices in the team and support the end-to-end consulting lifecycle: From high-level business case development and opportunity identification to fine-tuning of assumptions and solution valuations pre-and post-delivery.
  • Line management of Practice Leads and strategic input into the direction and collaboration of the various practices.
  • Oversee the Engagement team, helping to build a world class team of Engagement Managers, Consultants and Business Analysts.
  • Lead the development of the strategic plan/framework for key customers, developing joint strategic / innovation initiatives with customers, building long-term strategic roadmaps.
  • Ensure that business actions are completed at all levels in order to achieve desired results with appropriate metrics in place to measure performance and progress towards OKRs.
  • Act as a key advisor to CEO on critical changes in the competitive landscape, global marketplace and external business environment.

Requirements

  • Proven team leadership, having led an organisation of >50 people that has experienced fast growth (i.e. 3-4x).
  • Previous P&L responsibility (>£10m); also working on contractual engagements for multi-million £ deals.
  • Excellent management skills: Empathic, analytical and result-oriented.
  • Strong B2B business and growth acumen, operating at CxO level with clients and partners.
  • Background within a sales or business development function.

Bonus points for (but not essential):

  • Experience within a fast growing startup / scaleup.
  • Experience in a consulting or cloud services company.
  • Expertise / understanding in our core business ares (Data Science, AI, Cloud Engineering, BI).
  • MBA from a top tier business school.
